- The child suffered from hypotonic cerebral palsy generally gives moderate resistance, if someone moves their extremities.
- The appearance of hypotonic cerebral palsy child is floppy.
- The patient of hypertonic cerebral palsy may rest with their knee and elbows, extended loosely.
- These child are unable to control their head position, head is always falling to side, front or back.
- Hypotonic cerebral palsy patients have problems in breathing.
The persons who suffered from hypertonic CP are not being able to stand properly; either they stand with the help of wall or some other straight thing. In sitting these persons also have problems. They can not be able to sit properly on stool or chair without back. In comparison to other type of cerebral palsy children the hypertonic cerebral palsy child has good movements of their limbs. But this movement is some different from normal child. Normally the limbs movements of hypertonic CP child are excessive at elbows, hips and knees. Hypertonic cerebral palsy children also have poor chewing and sucking capabilities.

Through exercise you can develop strength in their chewing and sucking power. Physical therapies and exercise are definitely excellent for hypertonic cerebral palsy children. Cerebral palsy is incurable disorder but through proper therapies it will be reduced.
